Farmhouse in Poland

We are off to Poland today, dear readers! This farmhouse is on the border of Warmia and Mazury, just 10 minutes away from Warsaw.

Could I ask you for a favour today? I'd like to know if the images are too large for your screen. Can you see the complete photographs or is the right side cut off? These pictures were huge (just the way I like them!) and I made them smaller to fit my screen but I'm not sure if they'll show up ok on other computers.

Restored Farmhouse in Italy

Surprise! A second post for you today!
And you, my friend, and I, are in Italy now, just a few miles away from the city of Parma. Architect Lucilla Scazzi was in charge of the restoration of this home which used to be a rundown farmhouse with an adjacent barn. The barn is now a tearoom with a fireplace, and what used to be the stables is now the kitchen.

Farmhouse in Chubut, Argentina

Another brand new week has started and today I'd like you to come with me to my homeland, Argentina. This farmhouse is located in the province of Chubut in the Patagonia, further south from where we live in Buenos Aires. It is very near the Atlantic Ocean. The weather here is extremely windy throughout the year and the land, as you can see in the first photograph, is quite dry and barren.



















Notice how the top drawer of this chest has been converted so it can be used as a writing desk.

Country House in Malaga

The farmhouse we are visiting today is located in Ronda, a town in Málaga, Spain. I was curious about this town as I had never heard of it and I found out that it is set in and around a deep gorge spanned by an impressive bridge. The bridge, called Puente Nuevo, is quite impressive and I thought I'd share it with you before we see the house.


The bridge over the gorge (el Tajo), was finished in 1793. The height from top to bottom is about 100 m, like a 30 floor building. Inside the bridge there is a small museum.
